--CSF PCR testing is performed Monday - Saturday if the sample is in the testing department by noon. Have it there by 10:00 AM to insure the sample makes the daily run. (Do NOT call a courier in the evening or Sunday to DELIVER a CSF for PCR.)

NorDx couriers will be here at approximately 5 PM (if called earlier) but NorDx couriers will not come for an individual pickup. The sample does not need to be driven STAT. It does need to be at NorDx by 10:00 AM, so can be driven to NorDx in the morning. If our CMMC couriers are not able to get the sample to NorDx by 10:00 AM, they will have you call General Courier.

If there is a sample to go to NorDx in the morning, page the courier (851-8618) before 9 PM or after 5 AM. Let them know the sample must be at NorDx before 10 AM.
Techs: NorDx will not phone negative PCRs even if we order them STAT. The test should be completed by 8PM if it was received at NorDx for the Mon-Sat daily runs. If the test is still on the WCP after 8PM, call NorDx (396-7830) and have them fax a copy of the report. When you receive the report, enter the result in PathNet using the prebuilt phrases posted in chemistry.
