|Name: ||Cortrosyn Stimulation Test|
|Specimen: ||1 mL serum from a Red SST or Red top tube, or plasma from a Green PST. The test consists of a baseline cortisol level, an injection or IV of Cosyntropin and 2 timed post drug administration cortisol levels.|
--Draw baseline level.
--The nurse needs to tell you when the injection was given.
--Draw the 30 and 60 minute samples after injection of Cosyntropin.
--Indicate the exact sample time on each tube.
