The VITROS Amphetamine assay is a homogeneous enzyme immunoassay that detects both d-amphetamine and d-methamphetamine. The assay also detects l-amphetamine, l-methamphetamine, d,l-amphetamine, d,l-methamphetamine, methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDA), and to a lesser extent, methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA: Ecstacy) and methylenedioxyethylamine (MDEA: Eve ).
This assay uses a threshold concentration of 1000 ng/mL to separate a negative result from a presumptive positive result.
