Name:    14-3-3 Protein Tau/Theta with Reflex to RT-QuIC Analysis, CSF
Specimen:    2 mL CSF transferred to an ARUP Standard Transport Tube.

The first 2 mL of CSF that flows from the tap should be discarded. Transfer 5 mL CSF to ARUP Standard Transport Tubes. Freeze immediately. (Min: 2 mL)

Urine samples should also be submitted with CSF specimens if available. Refer to request form for detailed sample requirements.

This testing is performed at the National Prion Disease Pathology Surveillance Center.
