CMMC Offers Classes to Help New Moms Learn More About Breastfeeding

Although breastfeeding is a natural behavior between mother and child, it may raise some anxiety for new mothers. Moms worry about techniques, feeding times and their baby's responses –- which is also completely natural!

CMMC offers classes to help you become more understanding and comfortable with the process.

Expectant moms are encouraged to bring their partner or support person so they may learn how to be helpful during the breastfeeding learning process . This class covers:

• Breast anatomy
• Establishing and maintaining milk production
• Nursing positions
• Latch-on techniques
• How to be confident that your baby is feeding enough
• Breastfeeding resources

New moms may also benefit from joining a CMMC breastfeeding support group.
