Academic Policies |
The following grading system is used at CMMC.
- Students are expected to attain a 2.0 cumulative GPA. During each semester, students are expected to attain a grade of 2.0 or higher academic average and in the clinical practicum portion of the curriculum.
- A student receiving a cumulative GPA, academic average or clinical practicum grade in any semester, of less than 1.0 will automatically be dismissed from the program.
- A student who fails to attain a cumulative GPA, academic average or clinical practicum grade of 2.0 in any semester, will be automatically referred to the Advisory Committee for consideration of probation or dismissal.
- Students must pass all courses successfully in the semester indicated on the curriculum plan. A failure in any course must be made up within 30 days following the close of the semester. The course instructor will determine acceptable make-up. Any student who does not successfully make up the course within the allotted 30 days will be dismissed from the program.
- The Advisory Committee may recommend to the Medical Director that a student be placed on probation or be dismissed from the school if the student's scholastic standing, progress in the clinical area, health or conduct does not meet the standards of the school.
- The probationary period may not exceed one month except in special circumstances. Students may be placed on probation one time during the program except in special circumstances.
- Any student who is eligible for course accommodations due to a disability is encouraged to discuss this with the program director so that appropriate accommodations may be arranged.
