School of Radiologic Technology Admission Requirements

A candidate for admission must be a high school graduate or possess a GED certificate. Applicants must have successfully completed with a grade of "C" or better, High School Algebra, a second moath, Bilogy, and Chemistry. Students who have completed a college preparatory course, demonstrated an aptitude in math and science, and ranked in the upper third of their class are preferred. SAT scores are recommended and a score of 400 or higher in each section is preferred. Admission is not totally dependent on any single factor.

Applying for Admission

The candidate for admission must submit the following information to complete the application folder.

  • Compete application form.
  • $20 application fee.
  • Offical high school transcripts or GED certificate.
  • Documentation of successful completion of two years of high school or college math including Algebra with a grade of C or better.
  • Documentation of successful completion of high school or college biology and chemistry with a grade of C or better.
  • Official transcripts of any post secondary education attended.
  • Three letters of recomendation. Two should be from teachers or guidance counselors and the third may be from a personal reference. Applicants who have been out of school for some time should obtain references from individuals who they have recently been in contact with.
  • If you are presently in high school, take the College Board Entrance Examinations (SAT's) and forward those scores.
  • Once the application folder is complete, selected applicants will be scheduled for a tour of the facility and an interview with members of the admissions committee.
  • Students must apply for admission at Central Maine Community College (CMCC) in Auburn and take the CMCC assessment test.
  • Applicants are encouraged to complete their application folder as soon as possible in the fall. Application Deadline - December 31
