CMMC General Surgeons Handle Many Surgical Issues

General surgeons primarily treat problems of the abdominal organs, as well as breast and skin cancers. Some general surgeons also perform gastric bypass surgery, thyroid surgery and vascular system surgeries.

Many general surgeries can now be done laparoscopically -- such as gallbladder removal, appendectomies, hernia repairs and chronic heartburn.
