Special Delivery Family Birthing Center

CMMC's Special Delivery Family Birthing Center combines the security of new technology with the warmth of a homelike setting where a family can be comfortable. Tastefully designed birthing rooms and room-delivered meals provide a private environment where a family can welcome its newest member. Dad or another family member can even room in. Special Delivery even features two labor tubs to help ease mom through her labor. Should any problems arise, nearby are the resources of the Neonatal Intermediate Care Unit, one of only three such facilities in Maine.

The Special Delivery staff believes that the most rewarding birth experiences are enjoyed by families who are physically, emotionally and educationally prepared. Doctors and midwives at CMMC work closely with nurses and childbirth educators to create educational programs to help parents enjoy and learn from the wonders of pregnancy, labor and birth, and caring for a new baby.
