Chidbirth Education

Congratulations! Your baby’s birth will be a wonderful and exciting experience.  It can also be a time for many questions and  some concerns. A perfect time and opportunity to have these questions addressed would be during our five week Childbirth Education Program.  Our Certified Childbirth Educators create a comfortable atmosphere where expectant couples learn and prepare for their birth experience.  

Topics covered include:

• Normal labor, birth and early postpartum period

• Physical, emotional and sexual changes during pregnancy

• Relaxation skills

• Comfort measures and breathing strategies

• Tips for partners to give support

• Diet, nutrition, & exercise

• Reality vs. “Old wives tales”

• Fetal growth and development

• Possible complications during pregnancy and birth

• Cesarean Section

• Making informed decisions regarding pain management during childbirth

• Infant Care
