Self Straight-cath Teaching

Some patients need to be instructed how to catheterize themselves on a regular schedule. At the Bladder Control Center nurses are available, by appointment, to provide one-on-one self straight-cath instruction to patients. A typical appointment would last 15-30 minutes. The patient is shown step by step how to perform self straight-catherization. Written instruction are given for the patient to take home. The patient is also asked to perform a self straight-cath during the instructional session.
