Vascular Surgery |
One of the most common problems treated by vascular surgeons is reopening the carotid artery in the neck, which carries blood to the brain. They also treat aneurysms, the ballooning out of an artery or vein, and blocked blood vessels in the lower abdomen or legs. They also perform a vascular access procedure that connects an artery and a vein to create a high-flow system of circulation between the patient’s own system of vessels and a hemodialysis machine.
