Endocrinology

Endocrinologists provide specialty care for patients with diabetes, thyroid disease, cholesterol disorders, pituitary disease, reproductive disorders, adrenal tumors, hyperparathyroidism, obesity, and metabolic bone disorders, including osteoporosis. Board-approved endocrinologists achieve their certification in "endocrinology, diabetes and metabolism" through the American Board of Internal Medicine. To gain such certification, they must first be certified as internists.

Central Maine Endocrinology provides specialty care for patients 15 years of age or older.
