Program Description |
The Central Maine Medical Center School of Nuclear Medicine Technology offers a challenging and rewarding career opportunity for the motivated Allied Health professional in the field of Nuclear Medicine. CMMC offers a one year program of advanced studies in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
Nuclear Medicine is a specialized branch of radiology concerned with diagnostic and therapeutic applications of radioactive materials to diagnose and treat disease.
The CMMC School of Nuclear Medicine Technology was founded in 1996 as a result of a rapidly changing healthcare environment. The objectives of this program are to provide a formal education in Nuclear Medicine Technology including clinical practice in the Nuclear Medicine Department. This program will graduate a multi-competent technologist with highly marketable skills, who is prepared to meet patient needs in the changing healthcare environment.
The school is fully accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
