The Campus |
The Central Maine Medical Center Campus is located on Main Street in Lewiston. CMMC is a 250-bed regional referral center serving 180,000 people in central and western Maine. The Nuclear Medicine department was constructed in 1990 with modern Nuclear Medicine equipment. The department consists of 2 SPECT cameras, 1 dual head SPECT/coincidence imaging camera, computers and a thyroid uptake probe.
The radiology department provides up-to-date services including Mammography, Digital Subtraction Angiography, CT scanning and Ultrasonography. Other related services provided at CMMC include Cardiac Catheterization, Magnetic Resonance Imaging and Radiation Therapy. Other educational programs for which CMMC is recognized include the CMMC Family Practice Residency Program, the CMMC School of Nursing and the CMMC School of Radiologic Technology.
