Admission Requirements |
A candidate for admission must have a high degree of self-motivation and the ability to accept the responsibilities of a skilled member of the nuclear medicine team.
The candidate has 2 options for meeting the admission requirements: Radiologic Technology or BS degree with Allied Health Education.
A minimum grade point average of 3.0 in previous educational programs is preferred.
Successful completion with a grade of C or better of the following post secondary education courses; Human Anatomy and Physiology, Physics, Mathematics, Medical Terminology, Statistics, Computer Applications, Oral and Written Communications and General Chemistry.
Applying for Admission
The candidate for admission must submit the following information to complete the application folder.
- Completed application form
- Application fee
- Official transcript from an accredited post secondary Allied Health Education program
- Official transcripts of any other post secondary education attended.
- Official high school transcipt.
- Three letters of recommendation. If the applicant is a recent graduate one letter must be from the director of the program attended. If the applicant is presently employed in Allied Health, one letter must be from his/her current supervisor. The second letter must be from a physician with whom the applicant has worked and the third letter may be a personal reference.
- An optional day of observation in the CMMC Nuclear Medicine Department is available.
- Once the application folder is complete, applicants meeting the admission requirements will be scheduled for a tour of the facility and interview with members of the Admissions Committee.
- The program begins in August and is 12 months in length.
- The deadline for application is March 1.
