CMMC Neuroscience Center

Central Maine Medical Center has a staff of doctors, nurses and therapists who work together to provide comprehensive care for a full range of neurological disorders. In addition to diagnosis and medical and surgical treatment, the Neuroscience Center team employs both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services to help patients recover function.
Primary activities include:

• Coordinated clinical care of neurological and neurosurgical conditions
  
• Inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, brace clinic
  
• Electrodiagnostic Studies (EMG & Nerve Conduction, EEG, Evoked Potentials)
  
• Neuroimaging (MRI, CT, angiography, PET scanning)
  
• Patient Education

• Alzheimer's disease and other Dementias
  
• Brain Tumors
  
• Dystonia (muscle spasms, torticollis, tremors)
  
• Epilepsy (seizure disorders)

• Head Injury (brain trauma)

• Neuromuscular disease (ALS, myasthenia gravis, Guillain-Barre syndrome)
