Pastoral Care Department Serves Spiritual Needs; Chapel
Provides Place to Reflect
CMMC recognizes that physical illness often creates stress
in a patient's personal life. It can be helpful for patients,
families and friends to have somebody to talk with about the
experience of illness. The CMMC Pastoral Care Department is
committed to providing religious and spiritual care for those
who would like such assistance.
The Pastoral Care Department office and the Scott Willie
Cameron Memorial Chapel are located off the ground-floor hallway
next to the Discharge Lobby.
The following services are available through the Pastoral
Care Department:
Chaplain
Chaplains are available to talk with people of all faiths,
including those who are not affiliated with any identified
or organized religious group. If you'd like to be visited
by a chaplain, dial 2291 between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. You
may reach a chaplain at other times by dialing "0"
and asking the operator to contact the chaplain. You may also
ask your nurse to contact a chaplain for you.
The Sacraments
Protestant chaplains, Roman Catholic chaplains, and rabbis
are available to help you with special sacraments of your
faith. Daily reception of Holy Communion is available to Catholics.
The Pastoral Care office may be able to help locate clergy
of other faiths as well. If you'd like assistance, call 2291,
contact the switchboard or talk with your nurse.
Scott Willie Cameron Memorial Chapel
The chapel is available 24-hours-a-day for prayer and meditation.
You and your family are welcome to visit the chapel and use
it for your own spiritual needs.
