An important component of the Central Maine Healthcare Development Office is the Associate Volunteer Program which primarily consists of representatives from many local businesses, as well as volunteers who have served for up to the 18 years that the program has been in existence. Associate members are our ambassadors and advocate on behalf of Central Maine Medical Center in their workplace, with their friends and family, and in our community. They provide valuable services as goodwill ambassadors, friend/fund raisers and as financial supporters for Central Maine Medical Center.

As fund raisers and "friend raisers", Associates are instrumental in raising hundreds of thousands of dollars to benefit hospital programs and services. In 2011, the Spring Gala held on April 9, 2011 raised $100,000 to benefit The New Emergency Department & Lab Expansion Project.

The Associates also hosted the first annual "Arbor House Ball Drop" which raised $3,000 to benefit The Arbor House. The CMMC Fall Golf Classic held on September 14th at Martindale Country Club, raised over $95,000 to benefit The Emergency Department and Lab Expansion Project.

The total raised with the help and support of the Associate Volunteers for 2011 is an impressive $198,000!

Central Maine Medical Center is very fortunate to have such a caring, compassionate, and dedicated group of volunteers to help with its fundraising efforts. They are very enthusiastic about the work they do, and we sincerely appreciate their efforts.
