Giving at CMMC
Associates Volunteer Program Committees

Associate members have the opportunity to participate on a variety of committees that raise funds for patient services. Joining a committee is not mandatory but encouraged to enhance the experience of being a CMMC Associate. Depending on the committee, additional meetings may be required.

  1. Executive Committee
    • The Executive Committee, in conjunction with the Development Office, will provide leadership and direction for the Associates Program.
    • The Executive Committee is comprised of the President, Vice President, Immediate Past-President (s), and Chairs of the Fall Golf Classic, Gala and Membership Committees.
    • The Vice President will chair the Community Business Drive.
    • The Committee will meet at least twice a year to assess the education program, special events and membership relations.
    • Elect the Vice President, who will next assume the role of President.
    • The role of President and Vice President is a two year commitment.

  2. Membership and Retention Committee
    • Identify potential new members
    • Visit potential new members with Development Office Staff
    • Work with the Development Office to annually update/review Orientation Program
    • Develop strategy to retain members
    • Create a method of recognition for volunteers

  3. Golf Ball Drop
    • Help coordinate all facets of the event including developing marketing strategies.
    • The committee will help determine the annual goal and schedule of activities.
    • Take an active role to identify and solicit sponsors and raffle donors.
    • Identify the entertainment for the evening.
    • Provide assistance with set-up for the evening.

  4. Fall Golf Classic Committee
    • Help coordinate all facets of the tournament; offering a high quality event while maintaining a budget that will provide the most resources for CMMC. The committee to will help determine the annual goal and schedule of activities throughout the day.
    • Take an active role to identify and solicit sponsors and silent auction donors.
    • Assist with sponsors, solicit raffle items, choose player giveaways and awards, and recruit volunteers for the day.

  5. Gala Committee
    • This committee works in collaboration with the Woman’s Hospital Association.
    • Help coordinate all facets of the event; offering a fun and entertaining evening while maintaining a budget that will provide the most resources for CMMC. The committee to will help determine the Gala theme, annual goal and schedule for the evening.
    • Take an active role in identification and solicitation of sponsors.
    • Work with the Development Office to implement a publicity/marketing campaign to promote the event.
    • Provide assistance with the set-up and decorations for the evening.

  6. Publicity Committee
    • Assist the Development Office in promoting CMMC Fundraising Events, the Associates Program, and other CMMC activities offered to the community through Press Releases to various newspapers.

  7. Associates Dempsey Challenge Committee
    • An Associate is the liaison between a business and The Dempsey Challenge event and staff. Their primary role is to provide support for the business (via The Challenge team captain) to encourage co-workers to register to participate or volunteer and build fundraising capacity.
