Cynthia Rice, MSN, RN
Cindie is the Director of Outreach, Prevention and Wellness. She is a registered nurse and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Saint Joseph's College of Maine and her Master's Degree in Nursing from the University of Virginia. Her focus is prevention, holistic care, disease management and motivating healthy behaviors.

Barbara Aliberti, R.N.
Barbara is a registered nurse with various experience spread over the past 29 years. She has been the manager and educational coordinator of Horizons/ 55 since 1994. Barbara facilitates community health screenings, provides community education programs, performs employee assessments for Employee Health Services, and provides information resources to community seniors through Senior Services.

Rod Charest, L.A.T.C., C.S.C.S
Rod is a Personal Health Counselor that is a Licensed Certified Athletic Trainer and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He graduated Cum Laude from Plymouth State College in 1998. Rod serves as the lead Personal Health Counselor with his focus being on medical referrals, Key Functional Capacity Assessments, Job Placement Assessments, ergonomics, and managing community sports medicine programs.

Victoria Coolidge, L.A.T.C.
Victoria is a Personal Health Counselor and recent college graduate. She comes with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of New England and is a certified and licensed Athletic Trainer. In the Wellness Center, Victoria focuses on medical referrals through the Occupation Health Sports Medicine Model that the Health and Wellness Department has implemented. As a Personal Health Counselor Victoria performs numerous roles from Personal Training and pre-participation assessments for Wellness for Life members to instruction of Pilates, Kickboxing, and Step.

Susan Driscoll
Sue is certified with AFFA and in CPR. She has been instructing group exercise for 16 years. Sue has taught aerobics classes in various locations and has been with the Wellness Center for the past eight years. She currently teaches PACE (People with Arthritis Can Exercise), Personal Fitness, and step aerobics. She also assists with the Cardiac Rehabilitation Phase 3 exercise program.

Rachel Hill
Rachel is a Radiologic Technologist and is certified in Bone Densitometry. She has been the Mobile Osteoporosis Coordinator for the past 6 years & prior to that was a clinical & didactic instructor for the School of Radiology at CMMC. Rachel continues to bring bone density services to the Bridgton Hospital and Rumford Hospital, as well as other areas in central & western Maine. She also travels with the wellness van to various locations in the community to offer health screenings to the public.

Sandy Shapleigh, R.N.
Sandy has been a registered nurse since 1966. She began as an emergency department nurse at CMMC in 1982. She then became the education coordinater for EMS, instructing the intermediate and paramedic programs for Tri County Emergency Medical Services. Five years ago she joined the Prevention and Outreach staff of CMHVI. She currently conducts Scorekeeper interviews/counseling for patients in physician practices and employees throughout CMHC as well on the wellness van throughout the region. Sandy recently retired as a Lt. Col. Nurse Officer after 24 years of service in the United States Army Reserve.

Marcy Covey
Marcy grew up dancing and singing in Vermont. She graduated from Oberlin College and went on to create an exercise/wellness program for North County Hospital in Newport, VT. Marcy created the first Wellness programs here at CMMC under the name "Healthy Start". She also designed and managed the Wellness Center from 1995 until December 2002. Marcy is certified in first aid, CPR, Ropes Course Facilitation, Lifeguarding, Lifeguard instructor, Water Safety Instructor, Cross Country Skiiing, and a variety of exercise modes. Marcy is a practitioner of Thai Yoga Bodywork, which helps to balance energy, increase flexibility and relax those who receive it. She is currently instructing Fit and Fun, an exercise class for Seniors; Wellness for Life (for cancer patients and survivors) and Yoga.

Liz Ahern
Liz is a personal health counselor and received a Bachelors degree in Exercise Science from Saint Joseph's College of Maine in 2005. She was born and raised in Boston, and worked as a Strength and Conditioning coach under Mike Boyle before attending college. In the Wellness Center, she performs Job Placement Assessments, group fitness instruction, and general orientations. She has also been trained to perform Tri-Fit and Scorekeeper assessments, both for general physical health and for potential disease risk.

Nicola Adams, R.N.
Nicola is a registered nurse who graduated from the CMMC School of Nursing in 1993. She is a part of the Wellness Solutions staff with a focus on cardiac outreach and prevention for Central Maine Heart and Vascular Insititue. She works with individuals using a computerized information system that supports a comprehensive approach to health promotion. She educates individuals and helps them prioritize and overcome barriers to health lifestyle choices.
