The National Cancer Institute’s Website; always an excellent resource for in-depth and accurate information on any kind of cancer.
A good source for information and support related to lung cancer: ALCASE (Alliance for Advocacy, Support, and Education). They provide information about lung cancer, types of treatment, support services, stories from survivors, and also help link patients to other patients or experts in the field. They can also be reached at 1-800-298-2436.
Also suggested is the book, Surviving Cancer by Margie Levine, published 2001. Author is a 12 year survivor of mesothelioma who shares her inspiring story and program for others facing a cancer diagnosis. She also has a website: http://www.margielevine.com.
