Patient Support Counseling Services

Often people and their families dealing with a cancer diagnosis need someone to talk to who can help them sort through all the complex emotions and issues that such a diagnosis brings. The Comprehensive Cancer Program at CMMC offers professional counseling for individuals and couples, as well as professionally facilitated cancer support groups.

Highly skilled and professionally trained in counseling, clinical oncology social workers are on hand to provide short-term counseling to our patients and their family members.

Individual and Family Counseling can be helpful with:

  • Adjustment to diagnosis and treatment
  • Coping with life changes
  • Crisis intervention
  • Intimacy and relationships
  • Grief and loss
  • Stress management and relaxation techniques
  • Guided imagery/meditation

To schedule a counseling appointment with one of our oncology social workers, please call either 795-2692 or 795-7118.
