From the FirstCare Center, which helps people cope with life’s “little emergencies” like bumps and bruises and scrapes and sprains, to the Emergency Department where a trauma team can assemble in minutes to confront critical injuries, CMMC is prepared to handle virtually any healthcare issue. Moreover, if additional medical or surgical resources are required, the LifeFlight of Maine medical helicopter service is ready 24 hours a day to move patients to the most appropriate care provider.

CMMC’s centers of excellence also include its Comprehensive Cancer Care program, a diverse line of women’s and children’s services, and a dedicated Physical Rehabilitation Unit. In 2003 CMMC opened the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute, a new facility where an excellent clinical staff provides advanced cardiac services, including open-heart surgery and cardiac angioplasty.
