Our Expertise - Research
CMMC Cancer Center Active in Research
The Central Maine Comprehensive Cancer Center places great emphasis on research for two reasons: to help our patients with cancer, and also to add to the knowledge base of the disease.
CMMC has a clinical research coordinator who monitors developments in cancer treatment and who works with patients and physicians to find the safest and most effective treatment for cancer patients.
CMMC also records and tracks all cancer cases diagnosed and treated here. The information is shared with other cancer researchers.
