Hematology Oncology Associates Are Partners in Cancer Care
Medical oncologists are specially trained doctors who diagnose and treat cancer using chemotherapy, biological therapy and hormonal therapy.
The Central Maine Comprehensive Cancer Center (CMCCC) works in partnership with Central Maine Medical Group Hematology Oncology Associates, a group practice with offices at 12 High Street in Lewiston, as well as offices in Bridgton, Rumford and Brunswick.
The practice offers many treatment options, including a state-of-the-art infusion center, as well as hydration, antibiotic, therapy and blood product transfusion services. Doctors here are affiliated with major cancer research centers, which allows them to offer patients the best and most effective treatment choices.
The practice is certified with the American Society of Clinical Oncologists (ASCO) Quality Oncology Practice Initiative (QOPI). â„¢
For most cancer patients, CMMC can provide necessary diagnostic and treatment services. However, a relatively small population of patients need care not available locally. These patients may benefit from CMMC's affiliation with the Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center. Through this relationship, the resources of one of the world's top cancer programs are available to patients served by CMMC, Bridgton Hospital, Rumford Hospital, and Parkview Adventist Medical Center in Brunswick.
The healthcare providers at CMMG Hematology Oncology Associates are committed to providing the most current, individualized, compassionate and convenient care for cancer patients and their families.
