Junior Volunteer Program

Applicants need to apply by April 15, 2012 for this summer's program.

This program is designed specifically for teenagers who have a desire to learn more about medical careers. Junior volunteer applications are accepted from March 15 through April 30. Interviews take place in May, and orientation is offered in June.

Junior Volunteers work up to 10 hours per week from July 1 through August 30; arrangements can be made to continue volunteer work after school, during vacations, and on storm days during the school year.

Applicants must submit a copy of their immunization records, a letter of reference, and permission slips with their application. An interview is also part of the process.

The Junior Volunteer Program is for mature teens who are responsible, independent and enthusiastic. Program space is limited.

Student Internships, Job Shadowers and Practicums

Students can contact the Volunteer Department if they wish to take part in one or more of these activities. The process includes an interview with the director of volunteers. Accepted students are then introduced to the appropriate department manager.

CMMC has a strict dress code for students: Appropriate, clean attire is required. Jeans and open-toe shoes are not permitted. For students who are job shadowing, long hair must be tied up or pulled back, and gum chewing is not allowed.
